MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 25, 2005 <br />LICENSE through June 30, 2005. Subsequent renewal of the license will be <br />RENEWAL subject to full code compliance as outlined in the Code Enforcement <br />Officer's memo dated May 25, 2005. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-5-117 -RENEWING THE AUTO REPAIR <br />LICENSE FOR DAN'S AUTO REPAIR THROUGH JUNE 30, 2005 <br />AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Allan, Montour, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ZONING Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider an Amendment to the <br />CODE zoning Code relative to banners as temporary signs, the size of <br />AMENDMENT - commercial/industrial real estate signs, and garage/estate sale signs. <br />TEMPORARY Blesener noted the Planning Commission's recommendation in <br />SIGNS support of the proposed amendments with some additional changes. <br />The City Administrator reviewed the proposed changes noting the <br />following: <br />Construction Signs - <br />Size increase from 50 square feet to 64 square feet; <br />Real Estate Sale or Rental Signs - <br />On-Site Signs, decrease in number of days the sign can be <br />up after a sale has occurred, and increase in size; <br />Off-Site Signs, allowing houses for sale by owner to have <br />off-site open house signs similar to houses for sale by real <br />estate agents; <br />Advertising/Promotional Banners - <br />Deleted as permitted signs not requiring a permit; <br />Garage Sale/Estate Sale Signs - <br />Off-Site Signs, added section to allow these signs. <br />The Council was agreeable to these amendments as reviewed by the <br />Administrator. <br />The Administrator next reviewed the proposed amendments to the General <br />Provisions of the Sign Ordinance. These include adding banners to the <br />class of temporary signs requiring a permit. The Administrator <br />summarized the other changes as follows: <br />:• Increasing the number of temporary sign permits from three <br />to four in a calendar year; <br />10 <br />
