MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MAY 25, 2005 LICENSE through June 30, 2005. Subsequent renewal of the license will be RENEWAL subject to full code compliance as outlined in the Code Enforcement Officer's memo dated May 25, 2005. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2005-5-117 -RENEWING THE AUTO REPAIR LICENSE FOR DAN'S AUTO REPAIR THROUGH JUNE 30, 2005 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. Ayes (4) LaValle, Allan, Montour, Blesener. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ZONING Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider an Amendment to the CODE zoning Code relative to banners as temporary signs, the size of AMENDMENT - commercial/industrial real estate signs, and garage/estate sale signs. TEMPORARY Blesener noted the Planning Commission's recommendation in SIGNS support of the proposed amendments with some additional changes. The City Administrator reviewed the proposed changes noting the following: Construction Signs - Size increase from 50 square feet to 64 square feet; Real Estate Sale or Rental Signs - On-Site Signs, decrease in number of days the sign can be up after a sale has occurred, and increase in size; Off-Site Signs, allowing houses for sale by owner to have off-site open house signs similar to houses for sale by real estate agents; Advertising/Promotional Banners - Deleted as permitted signs not requiring a permit; Garage Sale/Estate Sale Signs - Off-Site Signs, added section to allow these signs. The Council was agreeable to these amendments as reviewed by the Administrator. The Administrator next reviewed the proposed amendments to the General Provisions of the Sign Ordinance. These include adding banners to the class of temporary signs requiring a permit.
