MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 8, 2005
Loan Fund once that program is underway. Upgrades to the facades of
these buildings would enhance the area.
Area #7 was reviewed which includes properties on Country Drive just
north of the Water Works property. The Administrator noted ChaC the
property owner at 2828 Condit Street would like to see ahotel/restaurant
development on this site. Several years ago the City hired Maxfield
Group to do a market analysis of the site, and they determined that this
would not be a good location for that use. The Administrator suggested,
however, that the market may have changed, and the City could send out
an RFP to determine if there is any interest.
The Council suggested that the Administrator contact the owner of 2828
Condit Street to determine his willingness to sell.
Areas #8A and #8B were reviewed which include the properties along
Rice Street just south of The Lodge. The City Administrator suggested
that he speak with the owner of the property in Area #8A and determine if
they are interested in selling or giving Che City an option to purchase. He
also suggested that George Sherman contact the additional property
owners in Area #8B to determine their interest in selling. Council agreed.
Area #9 was reviewed, which includes properties at the southeast corner of
Rice Street and County Road B-2. The Administrator noted that the
Roseville School District property may be for sale, but doubted that the
School District 916 property would be available. It was suggested that the
City Administrator contact the Roseville School Dish~ict about their
property. It was also suggested that SD #916 may be willing Yo sell the
most easterly portion of their site. The Administrator stated that he would
make the necessary contacts.
Blesener suggested that once the Administrator gathers the additional
information discussed this evening, the information be compiled in a
booklet. It was the consensus of the Council that once this information is
gathered, another workshop meeting will be held to review it and prioritize
redevelopment initiatives.
TWIN LAKE The City Administrator indicated that the City Planner has put together
BLVD. concept drawings showing the potential development of the City's
PROPERTY Twin Lake Blvd. property as single-family, townhomes, and multi-family.
The Administrator indicated that he would try to hold a neighborhood
meeting in July to get their reaction to these concepts.
4
