MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 8, 2005 <br />RESOLUTION NO.2005-6-I26 -APPROVING THE RIGHT OF <br />ENTRY FOR 2883 CONDIT STREET AS AMENDED BY THE CdTY <br />ATTORNEY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CdTY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Montour, Blesener, Allan, Keis. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />EXPANSION The City Administrator reported that the City of Roseville is asking <br />OT for the addition of an eastbound lane on Highway 36 from 35E to its <br />HIGHWAY 36 western terminus. It is Roseville's feeling that Chis lane will help resolve <br />traffic problems on County and local streets. The Administrator indicated <br />that staff has not studied this issue in any great detail, but it seems to make <br />sense. <br />Blesener stated that he supports the request of Roseville, but indicated that <br />he was not sure the additional lane will help much. Blesener noted that <br />additional impact that the Unweave the Weave project will have on local <br />traffic. <br />Keis asked why a westbound lane would not also be added. The <br />Administrator indicated Chat there are improvements that need to be made <br />at the point that Highway 36 merges into 280 before a westbound lane <br />could be added. LaValle felt the addition of an eastbound lane would be a <br />start. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-6-727 -SUPPORTING THE CITY OF <br />ROSEVILLE dN THEIR SUPPORT FOR THE ADDITION OF AN <br />EASTBOUND LANE TO HIGHWAY 36 FROM 35E TO ITS <br />WESTERN TERMINUS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Keis, Montour, Blesener, Allan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />GOOSE The City Administrator reviewed his report dated June 3, 2005 <br />ROUND-UP recommending that the City contract with Dr. Cooper of the U of M to <br />conduct a goose round up as has been done in previous years. It was noted <br />that the geese have been destroying the new aquatic plantings in the <br />vicinity of the Market Place Pond and Round Lake. The Administrator <br />
