MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 24, 2005 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 205-8-I89 -TABLING REVIEW OF THE <br />TOWNOFFICE CONCEPT FOR 2962 AND 2968 RICE STREET <br />UNTIL THE SEPTEMBER I4, 2005 REGULAR COUNCIL <br />MEETING AS REQUESTED BY THE DEVELOPER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />SIX-MONTH Blesener noted that the Council set a condition of a six-month review for <br />REVIEW OF the Conditional Use Permit for Coliseum Billiards located at 2900 Rice <br />CUP FOR Street relative to their commercial recreation use as well as 4 a.m. closing <br />COLISEUM time. Blesener indicated that the City has received one complaint about <br />BILLIARDS loud noise in the parking lot at about 5 a.m. after Coliseum Billiards was <br />closed. Blesener also noted that the Council has the Sheriff's <br />Department's report and there does not appear to be a problem caused by <br />Coliseum Billiards. In fact, Che reports have been better over the last six <br />months than previously. <br />Ahmed Alriffi reported Chat Cheir policy is to not allow loitering in the <br />parking lot during business hours. He further reported that they generally <br />closed earlier than 4 a.m. <br />There was no one fiom the general public present wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Allan, the public review was <br />closed. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-8-190 -APPROVING THE <br />CONTINUATION OF THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br />COLISEUM BILLIARDS UNDER THE SAME CONDITIONS AS <br />STIPULATED IN ITS INITIAL APPROVAL, AND SUBJECT TO A <br />ONE YEAR REVIEW OF THE CUP UNLESS THERE IS A <br />PROBLEM THAT WOULD REQUIRE AN EARLIER REVIEW <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
