MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 14, 2005 <br />The City Administrator recommended that before Metro Transit makes the <br />formal request for the transit station, the City request that they conduct a <br />traffic study of this intersection. This study should address existing <br />conditions as well as Che impact that the proposed transit station would <br />have. <br />Blesener reported that Will Rossbach of Maplewood has also expressed <br />concern with the impact the transit station would have on the intersection. <br />Rossbach has indicated that he would like a copy of any resolution Little <br />Canada passes requesting the traffic study. Rossbach's intent is to take <br />this same issue to the Maplewood City Council. Blesener suggested that <br />the City of Roseville be informed as well. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced Che following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO.2005-9-206 -APPROVING THE RESOLUTION <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR REQUESTING <br />THAT METRO TRANSIT CONDUCT A TRAFFIC STUDY OF THE <br />INTERSECTION OF RICE STREET AND COUNTY ROAD B <br />CONSIDERING BOTH EXISTING CONDITIONS AS WELL AS THE <br />IMPACT THAT THE PROPOSED TRANSIT STATION WILL HAVE <br />ON THIS INTERSECTION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />MN DOT The City Administrator presented an agreement with MN DOT <br />AGREEMENT- relative to the City's share of costs associated with drainage <br />UNWEAVE improvements that have been included in the Unweave the Weave <br />THE WEAVE Project at the City's request. The Administrator noted that Che costs are <br />estimates at this point and will be revised after bids have been let. The <br />Administrator also reviewed the City Engineer's letter dated September <br />14, 2005 which notes that the cost estimate does not include a deduct for <br />the $97,663.00 for land along Country Drive that was sold to MN DOT for <br />expansion of a storm water pond. Considering the sale price for this <br />property, the current cost estimate is close to the original. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-9-207 -APPROVING THE MN DOT <br />AGREEMENT FOR UNWEAVE THE WEA VE DRAINAGE <br />IMPROVEMENTS AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF AND <br />
