MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 23, 2005 <br />SIGN The City Planner reviewed his report dated November 16, 2005 relative <br />ORDINANCE to Sign Ordinance Moratorium and reported that he is continuing his <br />MORATORIUM research on this issue. The Planner anticipated that he would have <br />something in draft form for the Council to consider at its December 14`h <br />meeting. <br />FIRE The City Administrator reviewed the Finance Director's report dated <br />RELIEF November 18, 2005 relative to a Little Canada Fire Relief Association <br />ASSOCIATION benefit level increase. The Administrator noted that the an increase from <br />BENEFIT $2,800 per year of service to $2,850 per year of service is being <br />LEVEL recommended effective January 1, 2006. The Administrator pointed out <br /> that the benefit level has not been increased for the past four years. At an <br /> increase to $2,850 per year of service, the pension fund is 99% funded <br /> with no retirements and 97.9% funded with two retirements. He also <br /> noted that the increase would not require an increase in the City's agreed <br /> upon contribution of $15,000. <br />Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO.2005-I1-276 - APPROVING A LITTLE CANADA <br />FIRE RELIEF ASSOCIATION BENEFIT INCREASE TO $2, 850 PER <br />YEAR OP SERVICE EFFECTIVE JANUARY I, 2006 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PARKING The City Administrator reviewed the recommendation of the Code <br />ORDINANCE Enforcement Officer dated November 16, 2005 to delete Section 403.020 <br />of the Municipal Code which refers to no parking hours and locations on <br />County Road B-2. The City Administrator noted that as a result of the <br />reconstruction of County Road B-2, on-street parking is prohibited and <br />posted as such except for the parking bay along the middle school <br />property. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-11-277- DELETING SECTION 403.020 OF <br />THE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATED TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS <br />ON COUNTY ROAD B-2 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CODE <br />ENFORCEMENT OFFICER <br />10 <br />
