MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 14, 2005 <br />RUTH STREET <br />LABORS ROAD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2006 The City Administrator reviewed proposed 2006 Assessment Rates for <br />ASSESSMENT both residential and commercial properties, noting thaC the rates have <br />RATES been adjusted upward by 3%. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO.2005-72-290 -APPROVING THE INCREASE IN <br />2006 ASSESSMENT RATES AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR AS FOLLOWS: <br />MAXIMUM RESIDENTIAL STREET RATE - $54.64/POOT <br />MAXIMUM COMMERCIAL STREET RATE - $111.40/FOOT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />GOAL The consensus of the Council was that the 2006 Goal Setting Session <br />SETTING will be held on Wednesday, February I5, 2006 at 4:30 p.m. at the City <br />SESSION Center. The Council also instructed the City Administrator to contact <br />Mark Nagel and request he facilitate the session. <br />SCHOOL The Council reviewed the City Administrator's report dated December <br />DISTRICT 9, 2005 relative to the Roseville Area Schools request that the City abate <br />FALSE $1,000 in false alarm fines for 2005. The Council also reviewed the <br />ALARM email sent by the Fire Chief requesting that the Council not abate these <br />APPEAL fines noting that the number of firefighters that were required to respond <br /> to each of these false alarms. <br />The City Administrator noted that there were some extenuating <br />circumstances as the result of the School District's construction project at <br />the Middle School that resulted in the false alarms. The Administrator <br />also noted that Che School District has had false alarm fines in the pasC and <br />has never before appealed the fines. The Administrator also pointed out <br />ChaC the School District has been very cooperative in granting additional <br />easements for sidewalk improvements along County Road B-2, and paid <br />13 <br />
