MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 25, 2008
Johnson indicated that he did not disagree with Stanke, but noted that he
did not create the pond. Johnson stated that water has been running into
this area for years, and noted that the State increased the size of the pond
as pact of the Unweave the Weave project. Johnson pointed out that the
State took some of his property for the pond expansion.
Stanke indicated that he has already discussed this issue with the State and
is concerned about flooding after a big rain. Blesener suggested that the
City Adminish•ator contact the State to determine if there is anything that
can be done to address Stanke's concerns.
1'he City Planner pointed out that the City Engineer has indicated that
because the disturbance area is over an acre, Drywall Supply will have to
obtain a Watershed permit. Johnson reported that his site planners are
working with the Watershed on the necessary permits.
Montour asked about the future of the Drywall Supply sign on Country
Drive. Johnson noted that per the last agreement, Drywall Supply will
lose the sign, but the new owners of the front building will have a sign in
this location. The sign may be lower in height and smaller in size.
Johnson was not sure of the specifics.
There was no one else present wishing to comment on this matter.
Upon motion by Allan, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was
closed.
Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2008-6-158 -APPROVING THEAMENDMENT
TO PUD PERMIT ALLOWING FOR THE EXPANSION OF AN
EXISTING METAL BUILDING USING SIMILAR MATERIALS TO
PROVIDE FOR NEW OFFICE AND RESTROOM SPACE AS WELL
AS INCREASE WAREHOUSE SPACEAT 3225 COUNTRYDRIVE,
DRYWALL SUPPLY, SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS OUTLINED IN
HIS REPORT DATED JUNE 6, 2008, WITH THE ADDITIONAL
CONDITION THAT THE LOWER BAND OF THE BUILDING
MATERIALS MUST BE BRICK VENEER, SUBJECT TO
COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY
ENGINEER AS OUTLINED IN HIS REPORT DATED JUNE 4, 2008,
WITH MR.
