MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 9, 2008 <br />Blesener asked about the taking of elevations. The Administrator reported <br />that the Watershed has agreed to take elevations as part of their flood <br />impact study. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-7--169 -ADOPTING THE SAVAGE LAKE <br />ACTION PLAN SUBJECT TO THE MINOR MODIFICATIONS TO <br />BE MADE BY THE CITYADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Kesolution declared adopted. <br />GEARS The City Administrator reported that the Association of Metropolitan <br />COMMITTEE Municipalities is seeking membership on the Grant Evaluation and <br />Ranking System (GEARS) Committee. The purpose of this committee is <br />to rank and evaluate eligible transit projects for submission to the Counties <br />Transit Improvement Board (CTIB). Projects that are approved will be <br />funded utilizing the quarter cent sales tax which will be implemented in <br />the seven county Metropolitan area. The Administrator reported that <br />Ramsey County is being allocated two representatives on the GEARS <br />Committee. Interested parties must apply by July 14. The City <br />Administrator felt that Mayor Blesener would be a good candidate for the <br />committee given his service on the Rush Line Task Force and the Rice <br />Street Bridge Technical Advisory Committee. <br />Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-7-170 -SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION <br />OF MAYOR BILL BLESENER FOR THE GRANT EVALUATION <br />AND RANKING SYSTEM (GEARS) COMMITTEE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). <br />Abstains (1) Blesener. Resolution declared adopted. <br />ACQUISITION The City Administrator reviewed his report relative to the contingent <br />OF purchase of the manufactured home on Lot D, Terrace Heights, to <br />MANUFACTURED facilitate the future streetscape improvements at Rice Sheet and <br />HOME, LOT D, County Road B-2. The Administrator reported that the purchase <br />TERRACE agreement has a price not to exceed $50,000, subject to appraisal of <br />
