MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 22, 2015 <br />Upon motion by Montour, seconded by McGraw, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-7-141— APPROVING THE PROPERTY <br />DIVISION/LOT COMBINATIONSUBDIVIDING 15 FEET FROM <br />3100 LABORE ROAD AND COMBINING IT WITH 3088 LABORE <br />ROAD SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS OUTLINED IN <br />HIS REPORT DATED JUNE 29, 2015 AND SUBJECT TO THE <br />PROPERTY DIVISION AND COMBINATION BEING RECORDED <br />CONCURRENTLY AT RAMSEY COUNTY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CUP — Keis opened the Public Hearing to consider an application for a <br />405, 407, 409 Conditional Use Permit to allow Major Auto Repair at 405, 407, 409 <br />SOUTH South Owasso Blvd. as requested by Suburban Auto Body. <br />OWASSO <br />BLVD. — The City Planner reported that Suburban Auto Body is purchasing its <br />SUBURBAN third property in Little Canada at 405, 407, 409 South Owasso Blvd. He <br />AUTO indicated that Suburban Auto's primary location is located directly across <br />the street on Country Drive. Their other location is in Ryan Industrial <br />Park where the majority of their outdoor storage occurs by Conditional <br />Use Permit. <br />The Planner reported that Suburban Auto is planning to do major auto <br />repair at the South Owasso Blvd. location. There will be no outdoor <br />storage at this location, but there may be some occasional short-term <br />parking of vehicles. The property is fully developed. Suburban Auto will <br />occupy a portion of the building initially with the expectation to take over <br />the entire building in the future. The Planner indicated that City staff and <br />the Planning Commission recommend approval of the CUP as requested <br />subject to compliance with all zoning requirements. <br />Torkelson asked if Suburban Auto will occupy the entire building. Dennis <br />O'Connell, Suburban Auto, reported that there are currently two lease <br />holders in the building. One lease will be expiring soon and when it does, <br />Suburban Auto will move into that portion of the building. O'Connell <br />indicated that the plan is to eventually occupy the entire building. <br />3 <br />
