Given some decreases in general
building costs, construction management and architect fees, etc. the budget
is currently at just over $3.5 million. The Superintendent reported that
there are still some outstanding items, and factoring those into final project
estimates bring the project costs to just under $3.9 million. The
Superintendent indicated that James Steele Construction, the construction
manager for the project, has done a good job of keeping the project at
budget and avoiding major change orders and additions.
Keis reported that the City Clerk has submitted her notice of retirement
intending to retire from the City on December 31, 2015.
