MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 12, 2015 PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE BUDGET UPDATE ACCEPT NOTICE OF RETIREMENT - CITY CLERK *APPROVAL OF PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE CHANGE ORDERS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The Public Works Superintendent reviewed his August 7, 2015 report updating the council on the Public Works Facility Budget. He noted that the master budget for the project was just under $3.9 million excluding land costs of $675,000. Given some decreases in general building costs, construction management and architect fees, etc. the budget is currently at just over $3.5 million. The Superintendent reported that there are still some outstanding items, and factoring those into final project estimates bring the project costs to just under $3.9 million. The Superintendent indicated that James Steele Construction, the construction manager for the project, has done a good job of keeping the project at budget and avoiding major change orders and additions. Keis reported that the City Clerk has submitted her notice of retirement intending to retire from the City on December 31, 2015. Keis and the Council thanked the Clerk for her years of service to Little Canada. The City Clerk thanked the Mayor and Council, citizens of Little Canada, and her co-workers for the privilege of working with them these many years. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2015-8-157 — ACCEPTING, WITH REGRETS, THE CITY CLERK'S NOTICE OF RETIREMENT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. Ayes (4). Nays (1) Keis. Resolution declared adopted. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2015-8-158 — AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT OF THE CITY CLERK POSITION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis.
