MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
AUGUST 26, 2015
the current I -P District zoning. McGraw asked what types of things would
be stored. The City Planner indicated that when the outdoor storage
requirements were revised, the City got away from asking for specifics on
the types of materials and equipment that would be stored and created
standards that regulate the amount and height of storage as well as
implemented additional screening requirements. The Planner also noted
that the Fire Marshal will have to review the outdoor storage area to
ensure that fire access lanes, etc. are being maintained.
Keis noted that there are some open issues given that a formal landscape
plan and review by the City Engineer and Fire Marshal are still required.
The Planner indicated that the Council could take action on the Rezoning
and Subdivision subject to the conditions outlined in his report. He
recommended that action on the PUD Permits for outdoor storage be
tabled until the PUD Agreement can be reviewed and acted upon. The
Planner recommended that a Waiver of the 60 Day Law be required of the
applicant. Keis agreed. He indicated that he had no objection to the
zoning requests and felt that the PUD Zoning would provide the
appropriate controls while allowing the property owner to have 25% of the
property in outdoor storage.
McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2015-8-163 —APPROVING THE SUBDIVISION
OF 50 SOUTH OWASSO BL VD. INTO TWO PARCELS AS
REQUESTED BY PRECISION TREE, SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE
WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS
OUTLINED IN HIS AUGUST 7, 2015 REPORT AND SUBJECT TO
THE OWNERS OF PRECISION TREE SIGNING A 60 -DAY WAIVER
AGREEMENT
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis.
Ayes (4).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2015-8-164 — APPROVING THE REZONING OF
50 SOUTH OWASSO BLVD. (BOTH PROPOSED PARCELS) FROM
INDUSTRIAL -PARK DISTRICT TO PLANNED UNIT
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH
THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS
OUTLINED IN HIS AUGUST 7, 2015 REPORT AND SUBJECT TO
THE OWNERS OF PRECISION TREE SIGNING A 60 -DAY WAIVER
AGREEMENT
4
