MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 23, 2015 <br />Tom Cossack, Gordies' Place, reported that they have operated their <br />outdoor recreation over the summer and have experienced no problems. <br />The City Administrator reported that staff conducted a site inspection at <br />Gordies and noted that one of the recently trees is dead, there is a dirt pile <br />present outside the chain link fence area, a hose laying on the ground, and <br />a number of items being stored along the east side of the shed. The <br />Administrator reported that there have been no police calls relative to the <br />outdoor recreation activities, and the City has received no complaints <br />about Gordies'. <br />Mike Strub, 179 Little Canada Road, reported that things have gone very <br />well over the summer and the situation was much improved from previous <br />years. Strub noted there are a couple of minor issues related to the dead <br />tree and the dirt pile, but Kim Cossack, Gordies' Manager, has indicated <br />to him that these things would be addressed. <br />Montour asked if the open lines of communication between Gordies' and <br />the adjacent condominium association have helped. Strub replied that <br />improved communications has been very beneficial. <br />Tom Cossack asked if Gordies' CUP would still be subject to an annual <br />review. The Council discussed this requirement and the consensus was to <br />conduct an annual review in September of 2016. At that time the Council <br />would also discuss whether or not to continue with the annual review. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-9-181— ACCEPTING THE STAFF REPORT <br />DATED SEPTEMBER 18, 2015 RELATIVE TO THE GORDIES' <br />ANNUAL REVIEW OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br />OUTDOOR RECREATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />INTERIM The City Administrator reviewed the September 18, 2015 report relative <br />USE PERMIT- to the Interim Use Permit issued to Joe's Sporting Goods in September of <br />JOE'S 2005 allowing for two outdoor display areas for recreational equipment. It <br />SPORTING was noted that the permit has been extended on a couple of occasions, <br />GOODS but that the most recent permit expired on December 31, 2014. The <br />Administrator indicated that Joe's is requesting the extension through <br />December 31, 2019 as they have the continued need for outdoor display of <br />recreation equipment.
