MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 14, 2015 <br />The Administrator reported that the City recently issued a license under <br />this City Code to an individual to allow him to carry a pocket knife. That <br />license request is the only one that the City Administrator can recall that <br />the City has received. Under the current ordinance, the license will expire <br />on December 31, 2015. <br />It was noted that this ordinance was called to the City's attention by <br />Andrew Henderson. Torkelson asked if Henderson was able to review the <br />City Attorney's recommendation. Henderson replied that he did not have <br />an opportunity to review it. Torkelson asked Henderson how many <br />ordinances he has now brought to the City's attention. Henderson replied <br />that this is the ninth, and indicated that his purpose is to bring outdated <br />ordinances to the City's attention for potential updating. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-10-198 — AMENDING CHAPTER 1203. <br />DISCHARGE AND CONCEALMENT ORDINANCE AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY ELIMINATING THE <br />CITY'S LICENSING AUTHORITY UNDER THIS ORDINANCE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CITY CLERK The City Administrator reported that he was pleased to announce that <br />EMPLOYMENT Heidi Heller has accepted the City's offer of employment as City Clerk. <br />CONTRACT The Administrator submitted the City Clerk Employment Agreement for <br />Council approval, noting that the employment terms are as were directed <br />by the Council. Heller will begin work on November 2nd, and will have an <br />opportunity to work with the outgoing City Clerk for a few weeks. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-10-199 — APPROVING THE CITY CLERK <br />EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT WITH HEIDI HELLER AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE <br />THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />9 <br />
