MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 28, 2015 <br />CITY CENTER <br />PROJECT <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO <br />EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Montour asked about demolitions of various structures for this year. The <br />Administrator noted that there are four properties scheduled for <br />demolition, but given the need for initial evaluations and abatement of <br />hazardous materials, it may be a challenge to get these structures <br />demolished this year. The Administrator reported that if the purchase <br />agreement is finalized, the property owner of 30 Little Canada Road has <br />agreed to allow the City to do the initial hazardous materials evaluation <br />prior to the closing. The Administrator indicated that every effort will be <br />made to proceed with demolition this year, if possible. <br />The City Administrator reported that he has obtained a price of $2,540 for <br />the replacement of ceiling tiles in the Council Chambers and the <br />conference room. He noted the extent of the damage to these tiles and the <br />fact that the existing tiles cannot be matched. The Administrator noted <br />that there are also damaged tiles in the office area, but some of the tiles <br />being replaced can be used for change -out of those tiles. <br />Torkelson asked if the City would get extra tiles for future use. The <br />Administrator indicated that extra tiles would be ordered. The <br />Administrator also reported that the remodeling work at the City Center <br />will soon be finalized. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-10-214 — APPROVING THE <br />REPLACEMENT OF CEILING TILES IN THE COUNCIL <br />CHAMBERS AND THE CITY CENTER ATA COST OF $2,540 AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Torkelson. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />QUIET ZONE The City Administrator reported that the City Engineer had obtained <br />MEDIANS pricing at $75,000 for installation of the quiet zone median curbing at the <br />County Road B-2 railroad crossing.
