MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 10, 2004 <br />investigating the feasibility of painting the interior of the bingo hall as part <br />of their internship program. <br />IMP. NO. Mayor Fahey noted the recommendation of the Council made at the <br />2004-10 February 25, 2004 improvement hearing to proceed with Option #2 for <br />MIDDLE the improvement of Middle Street from Little Canada Road to Market <br />STREET Place Drive by road reconstruction, watermain, sanitary sewer, and storm <br />drainage improvements. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2004-3-42 -ORDERING IMPROVEMENT NO. <br />2004-I0, MIDDLE STREET OPTION #2, AND AUTHORIZATION <br />THE PREPARATION OF PLANS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) Montour, Blesener, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />IMP. NO. Mayor Fahey noted the recommendation of the Council made at the <br />2002-OG February 25, 2004 improvement hearing to proceed with the <br />TWIN LAKE improvement of Twin Lake Blvd. by Little Canada watermain installation <br />AREA and Twin Lake Road and Twin Lake Trail by Little Canada watermain <br />installation, road reconstruction including concrete curb and gutter, and <br />drainage enhancements. <br />The City Engineer reviewed three options and the associated costs for <br />bringing Little Canada watermain into the Twin Lake area. These options <br />included the following: <br />Option I -two connections under the freeway one at the westerly <br />end of Twin Lake Blvd. and the other at a central point on Twin <br />Lake Trail for an additional cost of $147,000 over the base <br />watennaiu construction estimate ($465,000). It was noted that this <br />option results in two watermain dead-ends, one on the east end of <br />Twin Lake Blvd. (east of Twin Lake Road) and the other at the end <br />of Twin Lake Trail. <br />Option 2 -two connections wider the freeway one at the westerly <br />end of Twin Lake 'Blvd. and the other at the end of Twin Lake <br />
