MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 28, 2004 <br />QUIT <br />CLAIM <br />DEED - <br />MORRI <br />PROPERTY - <br />TWIN LAKE <br />BLVD. <br />WATERMAIN <br />LOOP <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Anderson. <br />Ayes (4) Montour, Anderson, LaValle, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that in order to loop the watermain <br />through the Hamel Estates property to Twin Lake Blvd-, the City will <br />need to purchase a small piece of property from the Morri Family. <br />The Morri's preferred the City's acquisition of this small piece rather <br />than granting an easement so that they would not be IeR with a small <br />unusable piece of property. The City Administrator recommended that <br />the Council approve the Quit Claim Deed for the property in question <br />as well as a pw'chase price of $500. <br />The City Attorney noted the need for verification of title, and the City <br />Administrator agreed to work with the City Engineer and City Attorney on <br />this issue. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2/I04-7-1 G8 - APPRO DING A ~ UIT CLAIM DEED <br />FOIL ACS UIS7TION OF A PLLCE 0/' PROPERTY FROM THE <br />MORRI FAMH.Y WHLCH WII L ALI OW FOR THE LOOPING OF <br />WATERMAIN FROM I~AMEI. Resolution declared adopted. <br />WATERSHED Blesener asked if the City should amend the Code to make Watershed <br />REVIEW OF review and approval of proposed preliminary plats a requirement prior <br />PRELIMINARY to the Council's action on these plats. "1'he City Administrator indicated <br />PLATS that in some cases the Watershed's review and approval are critical to the <br />plat and in others it is not. The Administrator noted that the Code allows <br />the City to withhold action on a pending this review if the area is <br />environmentally sensitive. <br />The City Planner also noted there could be problems associated with the <br />60-day and 120-day approval requirements if Watershed approval was an <br />ordinance requirement due to notice requirements relative to the <br />completeness of an application. <br />17 <br />
