At that time, they will make a decision whether or not <br />to stay in gambling. <br />Fahey pointed out that the Iistorical Society's initial debt was $243,295 <br />which they have reduced to $25,000. Fahey congratulated the Historical <br />Society on a job well done. <br />Fahey noted that the Historical Society has been conducting a charitable <br />gambling operation to generate revenue to repay the City for their <br />building. He also noted that even though the Historical Society generates <br />a net profit from that gambling operation, under State guidelines their <br />expenses are too high, therefore, the operation is considered out of <br />compliance. Fahey indicated that this is a common situation for most <br />bingo hall operations, and it will likely require some Legislative changes <br />to increase the expense levels that the State allows. <br />COMPRE- Mayor Fahey opened the continuation of Public Hearing to consider <br />731:,NSIVE the Comprehensive Sion Plan for'Che Lodge. <br />SIGN PLAN <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by Allan, the public hearing was closed <br />iVlontour indicated that he looked at the signage at The Shores in <br />Shoreview, and found the materials used in that signage to be acceptable. <br />Sherman Associates had proposed plastic materials for the signage at The <br />Lodge and utilized metal materials at The Shores. <br />It was the consensus of the Council Yhat Council Member Montour and the <br />City Administrator should review the signage material changes being <br />proposed for The Lodge signage, and if acceptable, a71ow the signage to be <br />installed. it was also the consensus of the Council that the use of the <br />City's logo was acceptable on this signage. <br />Mr. t3lesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />R(sSUI.
