MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVElVII3ER 24, 2004 <br />Fahey noted that burning wood is not a precluded activity, and he would <br />not want to see a Code established against wood bw~ning. The issue with <br />Precision Tree's stove is that it is iu the wrong location for what they are <br />trying to do. <br />Groholsl<i noted that there is another wood burning stove in the City that is <br />much closer to residential housing than this one. To her knowledge, the <br />City has received no complaints about this stove. <br />The City Administrator indicated that the City just became aware of this <br />stove and is not sure whether a building permit was issued For the stove. <br />This size of this unit is smaller than the one at the Precision Tree site. The <br />elevations are consistent throughout the surrounding area so that the <br />smoke and odor from the stove goes up and over the adjacent housing. <br />Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by Fahey, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />R&S'O7,UTION NO. 2004- l 1-28G -APPROVING TF7E AMENDMENT <br />TO CONDITIONAL, USE PERMIT FOIL PRECISION TREE AT 50 <br />SOUTH OWA,S'.SO 137 VD. Resolution declared adopted. <br />PUD FOR Mayor 1'ahey opened the public 6eariug to consider a Planned Unit <br />OFFICE Development Permit to allow construction of a new office building at <br />BUILDING- 2935 Country Drive as requested by Dicl<Biagini, RAE, LLC. The <br />2935 COUNTRY City Planner and the Planning Commission have recommended approval <br />DRIVE - of the PU~D Permit subject to compliance with the recommendations of the <br />BIAGINI City Planner and the addition of landscaping/screening along the north <br />property line abutting the apartment building. <br />Dicl< Biagini reported that his is proposing an office building with a small <br />warehouse area on the north side of the building.
