MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRiL 9, 2003 <br />TOWN MEETING Mayor Fahey invited the general public to the City's town meeting to be <br />held on Saturday, April 12°i, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the City Center. <br />The town meeting is the City's first event of the year celebrating the Little <br />Canada's 50°i fvmiversary. The History Center will also be opened on <br />April I2°i and will have displays consisting of 1950's vintage items. <br />ARCADE Mayor Fahey reported that reconstruction of the Arc<ule Street bridge has <br />STREET begun. The bridge will be closed to all traffic from April 9°i through <br />BRIDGE July 3`s. The boat channel under the bridge will be closed from April 9°i <br />through May 23"~, and will open for weekend traffic only from May 23`~ to <br />July 3"`. <br />ALCOHOL The Council noted that there was a violation of the City's ordinance at the <br />VIOLATION - Oasis Market in that the sale of alcohol to an underage individual <br />OASIS occurred. The City Attorney has recommended that the Council table <br />MARKET action on the matter pending the disposition of the cow't relative to the <br />criminal prosecution of the clerk who conducted the sale. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003-4-74 -TAE] ING ACTION ON THE OASIS <br />MARKET ORDINANCE VIOLATION PENDING DISPOSITION OF <br />THE CRIMINAL. ACTION 13Y TILE COURT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Montour, Blesener, Anderson, Fahey. <br />Nays (0).
