Montour asked if the applicant understood the condition that signage be placed on the tent acid that a portable sign on Rice Street would not be allowed. Hurst replied that they understood, and their plan is to place two banners on the tent. The fireworks sales operation would run from June 25'x' through July 7°i. There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was closed. Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2003-6-129 -APPROVING THE CONDITIONAL U.SE PERMIT ALLOWING THE SALE OF FIREWORKS FROMA TENT IN THE MARKET PLACE SHOPPING CENTER PARKING L O'T SU73TECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE CONDITIONS AS SET FORTI713Y TIIE PLANNING COMMISSIONAT THEIR .IUNE 12, 2(103 MEETING, SUBJECT TO TIIE IMPACT THAT REDEVELOPMENT OF THE AREA COULD HAVE ON AVAILA737.E PARKING AT THE MARKET PLACE SIIOPPINCi C'ENT'ER, AND SUB.IECT TO ANNUM. REVIEW OF THE FIREWORKS SAI ES OPERATION BY THE FIRI CHIEF AND FIRE MARSHAL, The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Anderson. Ayes (4) Montour, Anderson, Fahey, Blesener. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Blesener asked about security at the fireworks tent. >-Iurst replied that they would have a security person awake 24 hours per day at the fireworks tent. The City Administrator reported that in response to concerns that have been expressed about parking at the Market Place Shopping Center, he will be meeting with the owners of the center to discuss providing access for both NIy Le Hoa and the Bingo Hall to the parking lot at the back of the building.
