MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 17, 2003 <br />Council an opportunity to look at the sign in question. The City Administrator <br />indicated that he would send a letter to George Sherman informing him that no <br />additional signs will be allowed to be installed until this policy question has <br />been resolved. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2003-12-287 - TA137ING ACTION ON THE LSS`UE OF <br />RACEWAYSIGNS UNTIL. THE.IANUARYI4, 2004 COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Blesener, Montour, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />GOAL By consensus of the Council, a 2004 goal setting session was scheduled for <br />SETTING Monday, January ]2, 2004, at 4:30 p.m. <br />SESSION <br />UPDATE Anderson reported that when he first began his term as Council Member, he <br />WORKSHOPS found the information updates written by the City Administrator to be very <br />helpful He also indicated that he has relied heavily on City staff for <br />information and to keep him informed on issues facing the City. However, <br />given the time commitment necessary to provide the written information update <br />and in order to obtain information on a more timely basis, Anderson reported <br />that he and the City Administrator have discussed having periodic information <br />update workshops with staff and the Council. <br />Fahey stated that his preference would be for update workshops as these would <br />provide a forum for discussion. Blesener agreed, and stated that he supported a <br />communications workshop rather than a lengthy written document. <br />It was the consensus of the Council to hold periodic update workshops on a <br />quarterly or as needed basis. The first workshop meeting would be held on <br />January 14'x'. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI, UTION NO. 2 (103-12-288 - CA] LING A WORKSHOP MEETING <br />FOR WL'DNES7)AY, .IANUARY I4, 2004 AT 6: 00 P.M. FOR THE <br />PURPOSES OF COMMUNICATIONS UPDATE WIT H CITY STAFF <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Montour, Anderson, Blesener. <br />Nays (0).
