MINUTES <br />CTi'Y COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 17, 2003 <br />CABLE TV The Council reviewed the listing of items proposed to be bid to upgrade <br />EQiIIPMENT the City's Cable TV cameras and other broadcasting equipment. Fahey <br />indicated that the monitor in front of the Council table was adequate, and did not <br />need to be upgraded. The Council agreed. Fahey suggested that efforts be <br />increased in upgrading the audio equipment. <br />Blesener questioned the proposal for LCD's to be placed on the Council table. <br />The City Administrator indicated that the proposal would be for one LCD to be <br />installed for every two people at the Council table. Blesener noted that the <br />LCD's would take up a lot of table space, and it was the consensus of the <br />Council that they were not needed. <br />Montour asked about installation of the equipment. The Public Works Director <br />indicated that CTV would provide assistance. <br />The Council discussed the purchase of ahigh-quality portable microphone. In <br />discussing the impact of a portable microphone, it was the consensus of the <br />Council that encouraging audience members to go to the lectern was preferable. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003-12-289 -APPROVING THE CABLE TV <br />Ei )UIPMENT LISTING AS PROPOSED 13Y CITY STAFF, EXCLUDING <br />THE LCD MONITORS AND THF. REPLACEMENT MONITOR FOR TIIE <br />COUNCIL, AND AUTHORIZING TIIE EID AND THE PURCHASE OF <br />TFILS` E~ UIPMENT AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED THE ESTIMATE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Anderson, Fahey, Montour. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />UNWEAVE The City Administrator reported that MN DOT is proposing to conduct a <br />THE neighborhood meeting on the Unweave the Weave project on Tuesday, <br />WEAVE January 6, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Center. The Administrator suggested <br />that mailed notices of this meeting be sent to property owners within 350 feet of <br />the project. Fahey suggested that a diagram be sent with the mailed notice <br />showing the location of proposed retaining walls. <br />The City Administrator recommended that the Council call for a special meeting <br />for Monday, January 26, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in order to hold the formal public <br />hearing on this project. <br />
