He stated that Ms. Glanzer is the City Clerk and will be
THANKING retiring in December. Montour, McGraw, Fischer and Torkelson also
RETIRING CITY commented and thanked Ms. Glanzer for the outstanding job she did. City
CLERK, KATHY Administrator thanked Kathy and noted that she has been a wonderful
GLANZER employee and will be greatly missed.
PUBLIC
Keis opened the public hearing to consider the subdivision of 2940
HEARING-
Edgerton Street from one single family lot into two residential lots.
PROPERTY
DIVISION —
The City Planner reported that Tollberg Homes is seeking approval of a
1 SINGLE
simple subdivision to split an existing single family, 1.28 acre parcel of
FAMILY LOT
land located at 2940 Edgerton Street, into two (2) lots. The zoning code
INTO 2 LOTS-
for R-1, Single Family, has varying lot width requirements depending on
2940 EDGERTON
the type of subdivision it is. He pointed out that the city code was
STREET
changed to require wider lots, but to still allow 75 foot wide lots for minor
subdivisions. City Planner noted that the existing house would be
removed and two new homes built. The Planning Commission
recommended approval.
Montour asked the Planner to clarify the discussion at the Planning
Commission about the driveway. Planner stated the current driveway is
on what will be the new parcel, which is separate from the existing house,
but it is no longer an issue since the house will be demolished.
Torkelson assumed the comment at the Planning Commission meeting
about the first house being a 4 -level style, meant that it would be staggered
levels. Wade Tollefson, Tollberg Homes, clarified that the new home
would be two floors below grade, the main level at grade and an upper
level.
There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by Keis, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was
closed.
Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTIONNO. 2015-11-222 —APPROVING THE SUBDIVISION
FOR 2940 EDGERTON STREET, SPLITTING THE PARCEL FROM
ONE SINGLE FAMILYLOT INTO TWO SINGLE FAMILYLOTS, AS
REQUESTED BY TOLLBERG HOMES SUBJECT TO
2
