MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MAY 8, 2003 <br />Motion seconded by Roycraft. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />Roycraft recommended approval of the Preliminary Plat and Development <br />Stage ]?UD for The Village at Little Canada subject to compliance with the <br />recommendations of the City Planner and City Engineer with final details <br />to be negotiated with the developer. <br />Motion seconded by Barraclough. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />Roycraft recommended tabling action on the Final Plat for The Village at <br />Little Canada subject Co the developer working out final details with the <br />City Planner and the City Engineer. <br />Motion seconded by Wojcik. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />Sherman reviewed the architectural elements for the townhome <br />development noting that exteriors will consist of cultured stone as well as <br />either aluminum or hardy plank (concrete material) siding. He indicated <br />that there will be varying amounts of stone on the front exteriors so that all <br />the units do not look alike. Sherman also reviewed the mix ofunits <br />proposing noting that approximately 50% will be ramblers with walkouts, <br />35% will be two-stories with tuck under garages, acid 15% will be two- <br />story with full basements. <br />Keis recommended approval of the Architectural Review the The Village <br />at Little Canada as submitted. <br />Motion seconded by Wojcik. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />VARIANCE - The Commission reviewed the request for a Variance to allow the <br />3020 RICE encroachment of a fence in the front yard setback at 3020 Rice Street. <br />STREET - It was noted that the applicant was not present at the meeting. <br />KAREN <br />-5- <br />
