PAP}: coy-~~lsslc;~ ~:I1yuTES - r1AR~z6, ]9s1 <br />- Present: Carl Spooner, Elaine Zoch, Bev Scalze, Bill Sanders, Lois Runyon and <br />Jim Morelan. <br />Elaine Zoch was introduced as the new member to the Parl: Commission. <br />Dtinutes of the last meeting were approved as read. <br />Empire Bucket may build a bridge for t}~e Spooner Park and donate it Carl Related <br />to the meeting. Bev Scalze is going to tal}; to Clayton Par}:s about the liability <br />such a bridge might cause. <br />It was agreed to call Dfr. Turnquist and set up appointment to discuss the possiblity <br />of purchaseing his property for a nature center site in the future. <br />It was agreed to write and send a letter to the people under the power lines <br />regarding the hiking etc. path. First we will ask the city council for <br />approval before sending letter. <br />Bill Sanders will attend the April 22nd council meeting to discuss the comprehension <br />par}: plan for the city and future park plans as discussed during the park commission <br />meetings. <br />Bev will talk to the engineer to take care of t]le erosion on the trail in Spooner Park <br />Bill Sanders related that 40 lilacs and 3 Dtountain Ash are to be planted on the slope <br />in Spooner Park for a cost of $1,000.00 <br />Jim Florelan asked Bev to check into the use of the ballfields and tennis courts at <br />the Old Little Canada School for city use. <br />Lois is to check into getting the Puppet Wagon again this year during the summer <br />at the park. Sending flyers to North FlEights, St. John's and Little Canada Schools <br />with a schedule before school is out. <br />It was also bought up that the small pine trees in Spooner Park should be <br />transplanted soon. <br />Fleeting adjourned at 9:15. <br />Note: P•leeting Thursday April 30th at 7:00 p.m. Dlr. Turnquist and his wife <br />will attend this meeting to listen to our proposal. <br /> <br />
