MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 16, 2015 <br />hearing process. He noted that it was staff s recommendation to do all of <br />these improvements this year in order to prevent having to do a bigger <br />project later on because we waited and the condition of the streets <br />worsened. <br />The Administrator stated that the City Engineer has completed a feasibility <br />study and determined that all areas are feasible to do. He recommended <br />that the Council give authority to call for improvement hearings for each <br />project, and gave four dates as options. The Council agreed to January <br />12t' at 6:00pm as their first choice, but asked that staff check with <br />Councilmember McGraw for his availability. The Council decided on <br />January 25th at 6:00pm as their second choice. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2015-12-237 AUTHORIZING 2016 <br />IMPRO VEMENT HEARINGS FOR DEMONT A VENUE, <br />MORRISON STREET AND ASPEN CIRCLE, TO BE HELD ON <br />EITHER JANUARY 12, 2016 OR JANUARY 25, 2016, PENDING <br />CO UNCILMEMBER MCGRA W'S AVAILABILITY. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />EMPLOYEE/ The Administrator stated that the Council was provided with a revised <br />VOLUNTEER draft of an Employee/Volunteer Recognition Policy. The primary revision <br />RECOGNITION to this draft is the elimination of the employee awards provisions. He <br />POLICY believes that the city needs to have a policy such as this in place that <br />documents the public purpose of some of the activities the city has been <br />conducting for years. The Administrator noted that other changes or <br />options can be looked at in the future. Keis asked if this was something <br />that should be adopted tonight. The Administrator stated that something <br />should be adopted before the end of this year. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2015-12-238— APPROVING THE REVISED <br />EMPL 0 YEEIVOL UNTEER RECO GNITION POLICY. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0).
