MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 27, 2016 <br />AWARD BID <br />FOR 2016 <br />STREET & <br />UTILITY <br />IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT <br />(MORRISON <br />STREET, <br />DEMONT <br />AVENUE & <br />ASPEN CIRCLE) <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2016-4-74 — APPROVING A SECOND HAND <br />GOODS LICENSE FOR RICHARD JOHNSON, OWNER OF <br />REPEAT AFTER ME BRIDAL CONSIGNMENT, AT 49 LITTLE <br />CANADA ROAD EAST, CONDITIONAL ON THE CITY CLERK <br />RECEIVING ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />The City Administrator stated that the bids were opened for the 2016-1, <br />2016-2 and 2016-3 street and utility improvement projects which are on <br />Morrison Street, Demont Avenue and Aspen Circle. He explained that <br />there were three smaller projects that are in the City's 2016 budget, and <br />were included in the bid. He noted that these projects were miscellaneous <br />watermain repairs that are not in the streets that are in the project, <br />improving drainage around the Rondeau Park basketball court, and <br />constructing an additional driveway on the east side of the Old Fire Hall. <br />The City Administrator stated that the two lowest bids were only about <br />$650 apart, if the entire project scope was awarded. He explained that <br />after further review, the City Engineer is recommending that the three <br />miscellaneous projects be removed from this bid which would put T.A. <br />Schifslcy as the low bidder at $440,928.05. <br />Keis stated that he agrees with deleting the driveway project at the Old <br />Fire Hall until after decisions are made about the future of the building. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2016-4-75 AWARDING THE LOW BID OF T.A. <br />SCHIFSKY IN THE AMOUNT OF $440,928.05 FOR THE <br />MORRISON, DEMONT AND ASPEN CIRCLE PROJECT, NOT <br />INCLUDING THE THREE ADDITIONAL SMALLER PROJECTS, AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />
