EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT made and entered this 22nd day of March, 2017, by and between the <br />City of Little Canada, a Municipal Corporation under the laws of the State of Minnesota, hereinafter <br />referred to as “City”, and Bryce C. Shearen, hereinafter referred to as “Shearen”. <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, City has offered the position of Parks & Recreation/Community Services <br />Manager to Shearen and he has accepted same; and <br /> WHEREAS, Shearen is being designated an exempt employee by City; and <br />WHEREAS, Shearen agrees to enter this agreement with City as a condition of exempt status <br />and pursuant to the terms and conditions of employment contained herein, <br />IT IS HEREBY AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. POSITION. City agrees to employ Shearen as its Park & Recreation/Community Services <br />Manager commencing April 10, 2017. Shearen agrees to serve as the Park & <br />Recreation/Community Services Manager for City, will devote his full business time and best <br />efforts to the City, and will engage in no outside business without the prior approval of City. <br />Shearen agrees to perform the duties of Park & Recreation/Community Services Manager as <br />they have been explained to him and as they may be changed from time to time. <br />Additionally, Shearen shall be required to perform such other duties as may be directed from <br />time to time. <br />2. SALARY. City agrees to pay Shearen a starting salary of $73,000 per year starting <br />commencing his first day of employment and continuing for all of 2017. On January 1, 2018 <br />and subject to satisfactory performance, Shearen’s salary shall be increased to $74,725 plus <br />the approved cost of living adjustment approved by the City Council as part of the 2018
