3 <br />8. OTHER INSURANCE BENEFITS – SHORT TERM DISABILITY. Shearen shall be <br />enrolled in City’s short term disability program in the same manner as all other full-time <br />employees as provided for in Section 13 of the City’s Personnel Policy. <br />9. DUES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS. City will budget and pay the professional dues, <br />subscriptions, and licensure for Shearen for his continued participation in national, regional <br />state, and local associations necessary and desirable for his continued professional <br />participation, growth and advancement and for the good of City. Enrollment in these <br />organizations shall be reviewed and approved by the City Administrator. <br />10. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. City will budget and pay the travel and subsistence <br />expenses of Shearen for professional and official travel for meetings and occasions adequate <br />to continue the professional development of Shearen, and to adequately pursue necessary <br />official and other committees thereof which employee serves as a member. Shearen will use <br />good judgment in his outside activities so as to not neglect his primary duties to City. City <br />will also budget for and pay the travel and subsistence expenses of Shearen for short courses, <br />or seminars necessary for his professional growth and for the good of City, as approved by the <br />City Administrator. Shearen will also be eligible for the City’s Educational Reimbursement <br />Program as provided for in Section 18- Other Information in the City’s Personnel Policy. <br />11. GENERAL EXPENSES. City recognizes that certain expenses of a non-personal and job <br />affiliated nature will be incurred by Shearen. City agrees to reimburse or to pay said <br />expenses, subject to approval of the City Administrator. <br />12. HOURS OF WORK. The position of Park & Recreation/Community Services Manager will <br />require an average of over forty (40) hours per week to successfully discharge the duties <br />assigned.
