4 <br />weekend meetings. It is understood by Shearen that additional compensation, overtime <br />compensation, and compensatory time shall not be allowed with reference to any such <br />additional expenditures of time. It is further understood that Shearen may absent himself from <br />the office to a reasonable extent in consideration of extraordinary time expenditures for <br />evening and weekend meetings at other than normal working hours subject to approval of the <br />City Administrator. <br />13. AUTOMOBILE. Shearen shall use his own vehicles for business use. Shearen shall be paid <br />mileage at the rate established by City to use his personal automobile for City business. City <br />may adjust this rate from time to time in conjunction with changes to Internal Revenue Service <br />regulations. <br />14. “AT WILL” EMPLOYMENT. Shearen understands and agrees that his employment with <br />the City of Little Canada continues at the will of the Little Canada City Council and, as such, <br />may be terminated without cause, without the need to indicate a specific reason, without <br />advance written notice, and at any time at the option of either himself or the City of Little <br />Canada. Shearen further understands and agrees that his position as an exempt employee is <br />specifically excluded from the Personnel Policy of City and that the provisions contained in <br />said Personnel Policy have no application to his employment, except as stated herein. All <br />rights governing his employment relationship with City are set forth in this Agreement. <br />15. TERMINATION AND SEVERANCE PAY. If, prior to October 10, 2017, the City <br />terminates Shearen during such time that he is willing and able to perform the duties of Park & <br />Recreation/Community Services Manager, the City will pay Shearen a lump sum cash <br />payment equal to one month of aggregate salary. Payment of the severance benefit is <br />conditioned upon Shearen’s execution of a full release, in a form that is acceptable to the City,
