MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 6, 2017 <br />based on this practice, the on -sale liquor and on -sale wine licenses are <br />proposed to be increased by 2.88 percent for 2017. This would increase <br />the On -Sale Liquor License fee by $139 to $4,981, and the On -Sale Wine <br />License fee by $20 to $719. She noted that public hearing notices had <br />been mailed to all businesses that had a liquor license and no comments <br />had been received. The City Clerk also noted that the On -Sale Sunday <br />Liquor License and Off -Sale Liquor License fees are regulated by State <br />Statute. She noted that no increase is proposed for the 2 a.m. Liquor <br />License, the On -Sale 3.2 Intoxicating Liquor License, and the Off -Sale 3.2 <br />Intoxicating Liquor License fees. <br />There were no other comments on this matter. <br />Upon motion by Fischer, seconded by Keis, the public hearing was closed. <br />Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2016-3-36—APPROVING ORDINANCE 809, <br />INCREASING THE ON -SALE LIQUOR LICENSE FEE TO $4,981 <br />AND THE ON -SALE WINE LICENSE FEE TO $719, BASED ON <br />THE CITY POLICY OF INCREASING THESE FEES IN AN <br />AMOUNT EQUIVALENT TO THE GROSS LEVYINCREASE AND <br />AMENDING THE CITY'S FEE SCHEDULE TO REFLECT THE <br />NEW FEES. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Torkelson. <br />Ayes (3). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONSENT Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />AGENDA <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2017-3-37—APPROVING THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: <br />*APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS; <br />*APPROVAL OFA TEMPORARYLIQUOR LICENSE FORST. <br />JOHN'S CHURCH FISH FRY ON FRIDAY, APRIL 7, 2017 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Torkelson. <br />Ayes (3). <br />Nays (0).
