MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 26, 2017 <br />Paul Johnston, property owner, stated that the environmental inspection <br />for the demolition was completed last week. <br />No comments from the public. <br />Upon motion by Keis, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2017-4-63 — APPROVING THE LOT SPLIT FOR <br />2586 SPR UCE STREET INTO TWO SINGLE FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL LOTS AS PRESENTED BY THE ASSOCIATE <br />PLANNER, WITH THE CONDITIONS STATED IN THE STAFF <br />REPORT. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PUBLIC <br />The Associate Planner stated Neal Anderson, property owner of 2680 - <br />HEARING — <br />2688 Rice Street, is seeking approval of an eight foot high special purpose <br />CONDITIONAL <br />fence on the east side of the property, abutting the houses along Rosewood <br />USE PERMIT <br />Drive. She explained that Mr. Anderson is also seeking approval of an <br />FOR SPECIAL <br />eight foot high section of fencing extending 25 feet onto the adjacent CVS <br />PURPOSE FENCE <br />Pharmacy property. She stated that this section of fence on the CVS <br />AT 2680-2688 <br />parcel is part of the existing wood fence that stretches between the two <br />RICE STREET; <br />parcels. The Associate Planner explained that the existing wood fence <br />APPLICANT• <br />was a requirement of approval in 1989 when the Rice @C Shopping <br />NEAL <br />Center was originally developed as one parcel. Since that time, the parcel <br />ANDERSON <br />has been split to allow for construction of the CVS Pharmacy, but the <br />fence remains as the screening to the homes along Rosewood Drive. She <br />reported that Mr. Anderson will pay for the fence replacement on both <br />parcels, but CVS has agreed to be responsible for any future maintenance <br />of the section of fence on their property. <br />Torkelson asked if there would be a post at the property line between the <br />mall property and the CVS property in case one of these owners needs to <br />remove their section of fence. Neal Anderson, property owner, stated that <br />there would be a fence post at the property line. <br />Upon motion by Keis, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />C! <br />
