Park System Plan Chapter 3
City of Little Canada, Minnesota Parks and Recreation Plan

Preliminary Draft: February 27, 2009 3‐15
ISSUES AND RECOMMENDATIONS
1. A wildlife observation deck could be built into the wetland, with
access from the neighborhood park. The pros and cons of an
observation area should be further discussed, with input from
the neighborhood.
2. The wetland edges could be improved with additional plantings
of native trees, shrubs and perennial material that would create
a more attractive transition between the street and wetland.
3. Continue to maintain and up‐grade the neighborhood park
facilities.
4. Add interpretive signage to explain the function of the wetland
in the larger context of the watershed.
Nadeau Wildlife Area (Source: SWB, Inc. and Ramsey County GIS)

Wetland – Nadeau Wildlife Area
(Source: SWB, Inc.)
