to lily pads that took hold when the Watershed District put in the super-efficient weir and dropped the
water depth to almost nothing for a couple of years. Canoe paddles hit the bottom most of the time. 7)
This small lake has been so abused over the years, starting with the DOT putting a freeway through the
middle of it, runoff from said freeway, and nearby streets which has filled in the south and the northeast
areas, particularly, with sand, as well as the aforementioned lowering of the lake level (our dock was
mud-locked for a couple of years, with mud extending 15-20 feet out before you got to any water.

Dumb idea!!! it will just bring more vandalism to the area. especially to the nesting area on the island.

I do not have property on West Savage Lake, but do on Twin Lake. And would be against providing
access to this lake, as it might open up the possibility of other private lakes in the area.
I am strongly opposed to creating this public access path to the lake based on the following: A) It will
introduce invasive species to the lake. B) It will lead to a disturbance and harm the natural wildlife and
vegetation. C) The water level at the proposed location is too shallow to support watercraft. D) The
proposed access is not ADA Compliant. E) It will introduce additional noise pollution. This area,
located between Hwy 35 and the SOO railroad tracks has elevated noise levels. Which have been
addressed by both State and Local projects. The addition of a Quiet Zone for the railroad and a noise
wall for the Highway. I am against the introduction of motorized craft; power boats and snowmobiles.
Which will only add to the elevated noise levels.

The lake is not really suitable for recreation. It is severely silted in. It should be dredged. If you tried to
wade out 75 feet from shore, you will be in about a foot of water, and up to your knee in mud. The mud
can also cause a pretty good rash-personal experience.

It seems that a very limited number of people would use it to do whatever in a very limited area. Why
spend any money on that?

How many people would use it? I would think not enough to justify the cost.

My daughter has her own kayak and I believe she would use it a lot along with her friend who also has a
kayak.

The lake is covered with Lily Pads. How do u get to open water without having to hack your way
through the pads? Does the city not have more important needs to spend that money on? I applaud you
for thinking of this BUT in my opinion your thought should have been filed under BAD IDEAS. Thank
you for the opportunity to voice my opinion on this matter.

We have enough issues with the park as it is. This would only create more traffic and issues in the
neighborhood. This "lake" is too small to sustain this type of activity. It would be proper and just to let
this lake be for the animals. There simply is not enough room to create this access. If you take parking
from the Nadeau Park, you will ruin a good park and take away one of the last remaining open spaces
in this area for children. Please don't do this; it is a terrible idea. What a terrible idea to have
watercraft on this tiny little lake. Allowing motors and snowmobiles would be detrimental. There is
simply not enough room to create this access. This would ruin Nadeau Park!
