7 CITY OF LITTLE CANADA | PARKS MASTER PLAN <br />3.3 – Revised Needs Assessment <br />Prepare comprehensive, updated needs assessment using community input, <br />inventory and user data, park classifications identifying: <br /> X Use projections <br /> X Residents’ recommendations for improvements to parks, programs <br />and trails <br /> X Quality of life and public health benefits of parks, trails and recreation <br />programs <br /> X Updated vision statement <br /> X Ideas for development of a “wow” factor at Pioneer Park <br /> X Prioritize demands and identify park and recreation opportunities <br /> X Develop policies supportive of the updated Comprehensive Plan <br /> X Provide an outline for a strategic action plan for implementation <br />3.4 – Draft System Enhancements <br />Identify specific draft improvements for existing parks and trails based upon <br />the inventory and needs assessment findings. <br />3.5 – Draft Outline for Parks System Master Plan <br />Develop and outline of sections, figures and tables for the Park System <br />Master Plan. <br />TASK 4 – DRAFT MASTER PLAN <br />Building upon community and Park Commission’s input, the draft Park <br />System master Plan will be prepared. <br />4.1 – Master Plan Template <br />Develop a final, user-friendly digital report template for the plan using <br />software agreeable to the City. <br />TASK 4 DELIVERABLES <br />• Up to 20 color printed, bound Draft Master Plan <br />Documents <br />• Up to five large format color presentation <br />boards for open house display <br />Enhancement Considerations <br />• Park settings/locations <br />• Park facility inventories <br />• Community input <br />• Current planning and redevelopment studies <br />• Historical, natural and cultural sites <br />• Existing and planned public art installations <br />• Development controls related to park and <br />recreations system <br />• Natural features and amenities preservation/ <br />protection <br />• Role of park enterprise facilities
