MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 9, 2017 <br />to the three existing stop signs for a cost of $3,585 each. The total cost for <br />all of the crosswalk and stop sign improvements would be $20,360.70, <br />plus likely some incidental costs that can be purchased internally. <br />Keis asked what the life span of these lighted signs is. The Public Works <br />Director stated that since they are solar LED lights, they should last 10-15 <br />years. McGraw suggested looking into a feature that senses if traffic is <br />coming and then activates the flashing lights. There was Council <br />consensus to have the Public Works Director purchase these sensors if the <br />total cost does not exceed $25,000. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 2017-8-130 —APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF <br />CROSSWALICAND 4-WAYSTOP SIGN ENHANCEMENTS <br />NOT TO EXCEED A TOTAL COST OF $25,000 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Aye (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PURCHASE OF A The Public Works Director stated that a new sewer camera was purchased <br />LARGE LINE a few months ago, and the vendor, Flexible Pipe, has offered to sell the <br />WHEEL KIT FOR City a demonstration -large wheel kit for the sewer camera which would <br />SEWER CAMERA help enable the camera to be used in large sanitary and storm sewer lines. <br />He explained that the vendor is offering the kit at a $2,000 discount for <br />$3,016.00. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 2017-8-131— APPROVING THE PURCHASE OFA <br />LARGE LINE WHEEL IIT FOR THE SEWER CAMERA FROM <br />FLEXIBLE PIPE A T A COST OF $3,016 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Aye (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2017 DEER The City Administrator reported that the City has not yet adopted a 2017 <br />MANAGEMENT deer management plan and due to the lack of snow, the County has not <br />PLAN been able to get a deer count. He explained that the City has not allowed a <br />deer hunt for two years, but he has received comments from residents <br />about the larger amount of deer in the area this year, so he is bringing this <br />
