MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 9, 2017 <br />up for discussion. He stated that if the City does authorize a hunt, a limit <br />could be put on the total number of deer like was done in 2014. Fischer <br />and Torkelson stated that they have both heard the same comments from <br />residents. Montour stated he is fine with authorizing a hunt this year, but <br />since we do not have a deer count, he would like to put a limit on the total <br />number taken. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 2017-8-132 —APPROVING THE 2017 DEER <br />MANAGEMENT PLANAND WORK WITH THE METRO DEER <br />HUNTERS, WITH A LIMIT OF 10 DEER, BUT THE LIMIT <br />NUMBER CO ULD BE MODIFIED IF NEEDED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Aye (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ORDINANCE 816, The City Administrator explained that at the last Council Workshop, the <br />AMENDING <br />City Attorney presented language that would add a section to Chapter 703, <br />CHAPTER 703 <br />Intoxicating Liquor, in the City Code for license restrictions. He stated <br />PERTAINING TO <br />that the Council agreed to add this language to the Code. The City <br />LIQUOR <br />Attorney stated that this ordinance enables the Council is able to put <br />LICENSING <br />reasonable conditions on liquor licensees. <br />RESTRICTIONS <br />Keis clarified that since the liquor licenses have already been issued this <br />year, the restrictions could not be put in place until next year. The City <br />Attorney stated that was correct, any conditions would have to be on a <br />voluntary basis this year. McGraw stated he likes that this is proactive and <br />is in effect for all liquor licensees in the city. <br />Tom Duray, owner of Hoggsbreath, stated that he agrees with the <br />voluntary basis restrictions. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 2017-8-133 — ADOPTING ORDINANCE 816, <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 703 OF THE LITTLE CANADA CITY <br />CODE, KNOWNAS INTOXICATING LIQUOR BYADDING <br />RESTRICTIONS ON LICENSES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Aye (5). <br />Nays (0).
