MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 27, 2017 <br />The City Administrator stated that it may be a good idea to set the levy <br />higher to give the Council and staff some time to review more budget <br />numbers, and the results from the election will be known by the time the <br />final levy has to be determined in December. He noted the levy can <br />always be lowered at that time of final budget adoption. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017-9-171 SETTING THE PRELIMINARY <br />LEVYAT 6.95% WITH THE INTENT TO REVIEW FURTHER AND <br />MINIMIZE THE IMPACT TO RESIDENTS AS MUCHAS <br />POSSIBLE. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />NO OVERNIGHT The Public Works Director explained that most of the residents on <br />PARKING ON Stoneridge Court have requested that their street be posted as no parking <br />STONERIDGE from 12:00ain to 6:00ain year round due to parking problems from the <br />COURT apartment residents across County Road D. <br />Fischer asked if there would be other streets in the area that will want no <br />parking. The Public Works Director stated that Payne Avenue and Arcade <br />Avenue are not posted, but staff has not seen any overnight parking <br />problems there. Keis agreed that there have not been any problems on <br />Payne Avenue. <br />Steven Chang, stated he lives on Ontario, and organized the petition for no <br />parking on his street and the neighborhood is happy with it. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2017-9-172 APPROVING NO PARKING ON <br />STONERIDGE COURT YEAR ROUND FROM 12: 00AM TO 6: 00AM <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />AWARD BID FOR The Public Works Director reported that a sink hole near a storm structure <br />STORM SEWER was discovered on County Road B2 that must be fixed. He explained that <br />IMPROVEMENTS since there will a pipe contractor doing the work, staff opted to get pricing <br />I <br />
