MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 22, 2002 <br />BUS BENCH 'i'ie City Administrator reported that U. S. Bench has requested that the <br />ISSUES Council table discussion on the issue of bus benches until the next Council <br />meeting given that they could not he present this evening. The AdminisU'ator <br />felt it would be appropriate to delay the discussion as a courtesy, noting that <br />U.S. Bench has removed its bus beaches. <br />Council had some general discussion of this issue with Fahey indicating that he <br />supported the recommendation of City staff on this matter. LaValle pointed <br />out that he has heard from a couple of business owners who are interested in <br />donating bus benches to the City in return for a small plaque on the bench <br />acknowledging the donation. <br />LaValle also reported that he was contacted by a business owner in the City <br />who purchased advertising on a bus bench that has since been removed. The <br />business owner is looking for some assistance from the City. Fahey suggested <br />that this was a private matter and that City staff should not spend a great deal <br />of time on it. City Administrator indicated that he would call the company to <br />determine the situation, and if necessary, suggested that a refund is in order. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-5-118 - 7A13LING ACT/ON ON THE ]3U.S <br />I3ENCII ISSUE UNT/1_ THE J[INF. 12, 2002 COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Scalze, Montour, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ARCILITGCI'LIRALC'ouncil reviewed the amendment to the Ruff Cuts building which provides <br />12GVIEW - for a walkout at the northeast corner of the building. It was noted that an <br />RUI•F CUTS amendment to the architectural review would be necessary relative to this <br />building change. "fhe Planning Commission has recommended approval of the <br />amendment. <br />Montour pointed out that the original approval of the architectural review <br />required that au additional dormer be added to the building. This dormer is not <br />shown on the revised plan. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI, UTION NO. 2002-5-119 - APP/ZOV/NG AN ~1 MENDMENT TO <br />THE ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW FOR RUFF CUTS BASED ON THE <br />
