Fahey <br />noted that use of Little Canada parks by residents of the County as a whole <br />and not just Little Canada residents. Fahey suggested that a partnership to <br />keep the dome open would benefit many County residents. Wiessner <br />indicated that the County has many different partnerships, and indicated <br />that they consider these on a case-by-case basis. A partnership with St. <br />Paul for the operation of the Rice Street/Arlington Dome may be <br />something they would consider. <br />The City Adminish ator acknowledged and thanked Commissioner <br />Wiessner for her assistance in working with the City and the County <br />Public Worl<s Department on an issue related to MSA funding for the <br />Little Canada Road project. Her efforts will allow us to use between <br />$300,000 and $400,000 of our infrastructure funds for other projects. <br />Fahey, too, acknowledged Commissioner Wiessner's responsiveness to <br />the needs of Little Canada and thanked her for her presentation. <br />RAMS,EY Joan Bartell, Ramsey County Library Board, appeared before the Council. <br />COUNTY Mayor Fahey announced that Council Member Anderson was excusing <br />LIBRARY himself from this portion of the meeting given that he is a member of the <br />BOARD Ramsey County Library Board. <br />Bartell requested the Council to pass a resolution of support for keeping <br />all seven of the County's libraries open and operating on their current <br />schedule. She noted that due to budget constraints, there has been some <br />discussion for cutting the County's 2003 Budget, which may affect library <br />funding. <br />Bartell noted the excellent geographic position that Little Canada has <br />relative to County libraries in Roseville, Shoreview, and Maplewood.
