MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 25, 2002 <br />services, as well as the Family Support Project, summer camp program, <br />Project Engage, Family Community Support Services, All Children Excel, <br />and community social work. Andrews reported that Little Canada's 2002 <br />funding level was $12,604. However, she estimated the market value of <br />these services to Little Canada at $19,026.75. <br />Andrews reviewed Northwest Youth & Family Services' funding sources, <br />noting that support from the participating cities is a very important part of <br />their funding. She requested that Little Canada continue its funding into <br />the future. <br />Andrews re~orted that Northwest is holding a fundraiser on Friday, <br />October ZS" at 6 p.m. at Bandana Square. The fundraiser is "The Magic <br />of the 50's" and includes dinner, music, and a live as well as silent <br />auction. Andrews encouraged attendance at the event, indicating that it <br />will be an enjoyable and worthwhile event. <br />Fahey thanked Andrews for her presentation, and acknowledged the <br />valuable services that Northwest Youth & Family Services provides. The <br />City Administrator indicated that the City's 2003 contribution to <br />Northwest has been included as part of the budget. <br />FINAL STAGE Mayor Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider the Final Stage PUD <br />PUD & FINAL and Final Plat for Village Square as requested by Sherman Associates. <br />PLAT - It was noted that the Planning Commission has recommended approval <br />VILLAGE subject to compliance with the recommendations of the City Planner and <br />SQUARE the City Engineer. <br />George Sherman, Sherman Associates, appeared before the Council and <br />reported that he has complied with the recommendations of the Planner <br />and the Engineer for the senior building. He noted that most of the <br />Engineer's comments referenced the town home development. While he <br />will comply with those recommendations, the town home portion of the <br />development is concept at this time. Sherman anticipated he would submit <br />for final approvals on the town homes in the next 30 days. Sherman noted <br />that the Development Agreement for this project will include both the <br />senior housing/retail phase of the project as well as the town home phase. <br />Fahey asked the status of negotiations with Ultimate Golf. Sherman <br />reported that he is still negotiating with the property owners. He noted <br />that they closed their operation this past weekend, and are looking to <br />release the facility. <br />
