MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 25, 2002 <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-9-273 -APPROVING THE FINAL. STAGE <br />PUD AND FINAL PLAT FOR VILLAGE SQUARE SU73.IECT TO <br />COMPI LANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY <br />PLANNER ANI) THE CITY ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator noted his recommendation for action later in the <br />agenda that is for a special meeting to be held on Monday, October 7u', to <br />finalize the Development Agreement for this project. <br />ARCHITECTURAL Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider Architectural Review <br />REVIEW - for the proposed Joe's Sporting Goods facility to be located on County <br />JOE'S SPORTING Road B. It was noted that the Planning Commission recommended <br />GOODS approval subject to enhancement of the roofline for the property, allowing <br />the limited window concept as proposed by Joe's as well as a separate <br />trash enclosure. <br />Ward Sessing, architect representing Joe's, presented a new diagram with <br />showed enhancements to the roofline. He also noted that they have <br />incorporated a few windows on the north and northeast elevations. These <br />windows are placed high on the building, and Joe's does not anticipate <br />they will have a problem with the windows given their height. <br />Montour expressed concern about the view of the building as one drives <br />into the parking lot from County Road B. Sessing explained the various <br />views. <br />The City Planner felt that the roofline modifications presented this evening <br />addressed the concerns raised by the Planning Commission. <br />There was no one present wishing to comment on this matter. <br />
