MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 20, 2002 <br />REVIEW - the Planning Commission recommended approval subject to <br />MARKET PLACE compliance with the recommendations of the City Planner as <br />SIGN outlined in his November 12, 2002 report, subject to architectural <br />elements added to the sign to match the Snyders pylon sign, and <br />subject to an upgrade of the sign panels to meet Code, with all <br />improvements to be completed by April 30, 2003. <br />Anderson asked if the owners of the Market Place Shopping Center <br />were agreeable to upgrading the sign panels to meet Code as they are <br />replaced. Mark Hotzler, owner of the shopping center, replied that <br />they were agreeable. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment <br />on this matter. <br />Upon motion by Montour, seconded by Fahey, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI. UTION NO. 2002-II-272 -APPROVING THE PUD <br />PERMIT AND ARCHITECTURAL. REVIEW FOR RELOCATION <br />OF TILE MARKET PLACE SHOPPING CENTER PYL ON SIGN <br />SU73.IECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AND THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Fahey, Montour, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PUD PERMIT - Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider a PUD Permit <br />2900 RICE to locate aretail/distribution operation in the Market Place <br />STREET - Shopping Center as requested by Taste of Scandinavia. It was <br />TASTE OF noted that the Planning Commission recommended approval of <br />SCANDINAVIA the request subject to compliance with the recommendations of the <br />City Planner and subject to the north area of the building being cleaned <br />up. <br />Brad McNaught, Taste of Scandinavia, reported that the bakery <br />operation will be 90% bakery and 10% retail area. The retail operation <br />will sell overrun bakery goods, day old goods, and frozen foods. <br />
