MiNUTE5 <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 14, 2001 <br />The City would fund the costs for staff time associated with the preparation of <br />the grant application but would be reimbursed for any fixture costs. If <br />approved, funding would be available by July ls~ <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI,UTIONNO. 2001-2-41-AUTHORIZING CITYSTAFFTO <br />PREPARE AND SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO RAMSEY <br />COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVEL OPMENT FOR FUNDING FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT OF A STORM SHELTER AT NORTH STAR ESTATES" <br />MO737L E HOME PARK <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CITY WEB The City Administrator reported that the League of Minnesota Cities is <br />SITE offering a program to assist cities in the development and maintenance of <br />WEB sites. The Administrator felt the value being offered was good and that <br />the City should participate in the program. <br />Anderson asked if there would be any advertising on the WEB site. The City <br />Administrator replied that it is his understanding that there will be no <br />advertising. He also reported that the City will be developing policies related <br />to links within the site. The Administrator was hopeful that the City's WEB <br />site would be up and running by May. <br />Mr. Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2001-2-42 -AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S <br />PARTICIPATION IN THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES WEI3 <br />SITE PROGRAM FOR CITIES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Anderson, LaValle, Montour, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />LITTLE The Council reviewed the proposal for improvement of the parking lot <br />CANADA RD./ at the corner of Little Canada Road and McMenemy Street. Scalze <br />McMENEMY indicated that her recollection was that the Parks & Recreation Commission <br />STREET had discussed this corner as a focal point for the east side of the freeway, <br />PARKING and suggested that improvements of the parking lot include some <br />LOT enhancements. <br />
