If approved, funding would be available by July ls~ Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOI,UTIONNO. 2001-2-41-AUTHORIZING CITYSTAFFTO PREPARE AND SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO RAMSEY COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVEL OPMENT FOR FUNDING FOR IMPROVEMENT OF A STORM SHELTER AT NORTH STAR ESTATES" MO737L E HOME PARK The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CITY WEB The City Administrator reported that the League of Minnesota Cities is SITE offering a program to assist cities in the development and maintenance of WEB sites. The Administrator felt the value being offered was good and that the City should participate in the program. Anderson asked if there would be any advertising on the WEB site. The City Administrator replied that it is his understanding that there will be no advertising. He also reported that the City will be developing policies related to links within the site. The Administrator was hopeful that the City's WEB site would be up and running by May. Mr. Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTIONNO. 2001-2-42 -AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES WEI3 SITE PROGRAM FOR CITIES The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Anderson, LaValle, Montour, Fahey, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. LITTLE The Council reviewed the proposal for improvement of the parking lot CANADA RD./ at the corner of Little Canada Road and McMenemy Street. Scalze McMENEMY indicated that her recollection was that the Parks & Recreation Commission STREET had discussed this corner as a focal point for the east side of the freeway, PARKING and suggested that improvements of the parking lot include some LOT enhancements.
