MINUTES CITY COUNCIL FEBRUARY 14, 2001 affected property owners at a neighborhood meeting. The Administrator pointed out that a portion of the parking lot is on private property and it would be staffl s proposal to include that portion of the parking lot in the improvement. To do so, the City would have to enter into agreements with the property owners for improving this private property. If the property owners do not want to extend the improvement onto their property, it would have to be ended along the property line. Scalze felt that there should be a compromise and that more landscape improvements than what are shown on Option #4 should be added. Scalze suggested that perhaps the buffer area is not expanded to 10 feet, but the corner landscaped area is enlarged. Fahey suggested that rather than lose parking stalls, the stalls proposed could be 8 '/2 feet in width rather than 9 feet. Anderson agreed that the 'h foot gained from each parking stall could be added to the corner landscaped area. The City Administrator recommended that the project be presented to the affected property owners. He also noted that staff is proposing that the cost of the project be split with the City paying one-third the cost, the Church paying one-third, and the remaining third split between the three adjacent property owners. It was noted that much of the engineering and design work will be done by City staff in order to keep the cost of the project at a minimum. However, the City Engineer will have some costs associated with this project. It was the consensus of the Council that a neighborhood meeting will be held to present this project to the affected property owners prior to an improvement hearing which will beheld on Monday, March 5"', at 6:30 p.m. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2001-2-43 -CALLING FOR AN IMPROVEMENT HEARING ON THE LITTLE CANADA ROAD/McMENEMY STREET PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENT FOR MONDAY, MARCH 5, 2007 AT 6:30 P.M. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, Montour, Anderson, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. It was noted that the issue of landscape treatments will be presented to the Parks & Recreation Commission at their March ls` meeting.
