MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 28, 2001 <br />Dick Kimmes, developer of Gilanderi Addition, reported that he did not get the <br />plat recorded within the 6-month time limit. He also noted that there is one <br />document missing which deeds a portion of the property from its southern edge <br />for the right-of--way for Highway 36. This document will be located, the plat <br />recorded, and the project started in the spring. <br />Kimmes pointed out that the plat before the Council has not changed from <br />what was originally approved. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this <br />matter. <br />Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Anderson, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2001-2-47-APPROVING THE PRELIMINARYAND <br />FINAL, PLAT FOR CII.ANDERI ADDITION AS WELL AS A VARIANCE <br />FOR CUL-DE-SAC LENGTH AND A 25 FOOT FRONT YARD SETBACK <br />FOR LOT 4 OF THE PLAT SUB.IECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY ENGINEER, CITY PLANNER, <br />AND THE PLANNING COMMISSIONAS WAS PREVIOUSLY <br />APPROVED IN RESOL UTION 99-I2-255 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Montour, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PROPERTY Scalze opened the public hearing to consider the application for property <br />DIVISION & division to divide one lot into three as well as a variance from the City's <br />VARIANCE - limitation on cul-de-sac length. The Planning Commission recommended <br />3021 ARCADE approval of both the property division and the variance. <br />STREET - <br />TOM THEIS Tom Theis, 3036 Leeward Way, reported that he is purchasing the property at <br /> 3021 Arcade Street and would like to divide the property into three lots. It <br /> pointed out that Leeward Way currently dead ends now, and he would like to <br /> extend the street another 87 feet to accommodate his proposed subdivision. <br /> Theis further noted that the next extension of Leeward Way would be to <br /> complete the entire development of the street extending it south and connecting <br /> it to Allen Avenue. <br />
