MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 11, 2001 <br />construct a 34 to 36 unit addition onto the Garden Terrace complex on this <br />piece of property. The Administrator noted that CommonBond has agreed to <br />pay $70,000 for the property on the condition that the City absorbs <br />approximately $40,000 to $50,000 in costs for relocating a sewer line that runs <br />through the parcel. <br />The City Administrator recommended approval of the purchase agreement <br />subject to the possibility of some minor modifications by the attorneys <br />representing CommonBond and the City Attorney. <br />Scalze suggested that the County may have funding available for offsetting the <br />sewer relocation given the fact that the CommonBond project would provide <br />additional affordable housing in the City. The City Administrator indicated <br />that he would check into the availability of these funds. <br />Mr. Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI.UTIONNO. Resolution declared adopted. <br />BIDS FOR The City Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's letter dated April 11, <br />2001 STREET 2001 tabulating bid results for the 2001 Street Improvements. The <br />IMPROVEMENTS Administrator noted that six bids were received and the low bids is from T. A. <br />Schifsky & Sons. The low bid is 30% below the City Engineer's estimate. <br />The City Administrator recommended that the base low bid in the amount of <br />$185,038.38 be awarded at this time. He further recommended that the low <br />bids for Bid Alternate No. 1 and No. 2 be tabled at this time to allow the City <br />to obtain some alternative pricing for these portions of the project. Additional <br />information on Bid Alternate No. 1 and No. 2 will be presented to the Council <br />at a future date. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001-4-86 -AWARDING THE LOW 13ID OF T.
