MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 25, 2001
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2001-4-94 - APPROVING ANINCREASE IN
HEALTH INSURANCE CAP FROM $386 PER MONTH TO $409 PER
MONTH EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 2001
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Montour, Fahey, Anderson
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
PERSONNEL Council reviewed proposed changes to the City's Personnel Policy as outlined
POLICY in the Deputy Clerk's memo dated April 18, 2001. It was the consensus of the
AMENDMENTS Council to act on the changes related to the administration of sick leave
benefits as separate action items, specifically Sections H. and I. (re-lettered due
to a lettering error).
Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOL UTION NO. 2007-4-95 -APPROVING PERSONNEL POLICY
CHANGES AS OUTLINED IN THE DEPUTY CLERK'S LETTER DATED
APRIL 18, 2001 WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THOSE CHANGES
RELATED TO THE ADMINISTRATION OF SICK LEAVE (Sections H.
an~l7.)
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Montour, Anderson, Fahey.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
Anderson questioned the proposed requirement that employees obtain prior
approval for the use of sick leave to attend medical appointments. Council
discussed this and the consensus was that the policy should state that the use of
sick leave for non-emergency medical appointments would require prior
approval.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2001-4-96 -APPROVING THE PERSONNEL
POLICYAMENDMENT "SECTIONH. ADMINISTRATION OF SICK
LEAVE"AS RECOMMENDED WITH THE CLARIFICATION THAT
THE USE OF SICK LEAVE FOR NON-EMERGENCYAPPOINTMENTS
WOULD REQUIRE PRIOR APPROVAL
