MINUTES CITY COUNCIL APRIL 25, 2001 LaValle asked if Site #2 would be efficient given its location. The Public Works Director reported that the site is very usable, however, it is located on the edge of the City. Council reviewed the list of potential sites, and agreed that Site #2 was the most feasible given its size, ease of screening, value, etc. Fahey felt that the City should make whatever improvements were necessary for the short-term use of the existing Public Works garage and that land be purchased for the long-term development of a new garage. Fahey suggested that the Council review the scope of improvements proposed for the existing Public Works garage at its next meeting. It was the consensus of the Council that a workshop meeting be held prior to the next Council meeting to review this information. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2001-4-99 -AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO PROCEED TO NEGOTIATE A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR SITE #2 IDENTIFIED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR AS A LOCATION FOR A NEW PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. MAY 9T11 The Council reviewed the City Administrator's request to change the COUNCIL May 9`h Council meeting date given his attendance at the City Managers' MEETING Conference. It was the consensus of the Council that one meeting could be held during the month of May, therefore, the May 9`h meeting could be cancelled. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2001-4-I00 -CANCELLING THE MAY 9, 2001 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5) LaValle, Montour, Scalze, Fahey, Anderson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
